Apple Cider Syrup

I got this recipe from my mom. It is really tasty, and excellent on french toast, pancakes, or waffles!

1/2 c. sugar
4 tsp. cornstarch
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. apple juice or apple cider
1 Tbsp. lemon juice (I usually don't use this)
2 Tbsp. butter

**In small saucepan, stir together sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Stir in apple juice (or cider) and lemon juice. Cook and stir mixture over medium heat until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Then cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted. Makes about 1 1/3 cups.
