Be grateful you're not here

Nathan has caught something nasty. He was exposed to Hand, Mouth, & Foot disease while at daycare about 10 days ago. Yesterday he came down with quite the fever, but didn't do much else besides cuddle. Today, it all went south. He cried all day. He won't close his mouth(or swallow), and keeps putting his hands in his mouth as if to try and alleviate some sort of pain...hence, drooling. So much drooling. I have honestly never seen a kid drool like this, teething or not. He is like a faucet (it's actually quite gross). So, off we went to the doctor. He doesn't have HM&F Disease, (thank heaven) but he can still get it, so we have to watch for that over the next couple of days. He does have spots on the back of his throat, but the doctor said it wasn't strep--it was just some big word that I cannot even begin to pronounce. It's so sad. He's miserable and he simply doesn't understand why. He had a temperature of 103, and just keeps crying. We finally got him to drink some juice (HOORAY!!) and got his temperature down a little bit before bed. I plan on it being a long night. Poor little guy. Keep him in your prayers!
